Old technology, but very cool, I met the man that invented this during a siminar when i was in college. NASA uses this in space satellites, the radiation in space doesn't effect this like traditional electronics. Very cool stuff glad to finally see it come to PCs.

meh. this sounds like a replacement for tape, nothing else.

i'll believe it when i see it.
 
seems somewhat sluggish to me... but for managing secure data it would be very useful indeed.

anybody want to put out a guess as to when it'll be useful for hard drives?

I would bet that flash based (AFFORDABLE) hard drives come around quicker than this technology.
