Be it Chistmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Saturnalia, Dong Zhi, Touji, or Dazh Boh have a happy holiday season. :)

I second that... and add "and to all a good night"

also "have a great Festivus" (think Seinfeld)

Dammn you really did your research MisterX, I'm 'celebrating' dong zhi w/my parents right now...sorta...

Happy holidays!

I know about the first 3 but not sure about the last 4. Care to explain?

Saturnalia - This ritual compresses the Consualia (for Consus, God of the Storage Bin), the Saturnalia (for Saturn, God of Sowing), and the Opalia (for Ops, Goddess of Plenty) into a single festival, a Brumalia, or Winter Solstice (Bruma) ritual.

DONG ZHI£¨¶¬ÖÁ£© - Dong Zhi is the thanksgiving of the Chinese calendar. "Dong Zhi" literally means "arrival of winter". Coinciding with the winter solstice, it is an occasion for the family to get together to celebrate the good year they have had. Tang Yuan (ÌÀÔ²) is cooked and eaten to symbolise unity and harmony within the family. Dong Zhi occurs 6 weeks before Chinese New Year and would normally fall between 21st Dec and 23rd Dec.

Touji is the Japanese Winter Solstice, whose name aptly means winterÕs arrival.

Dazh Boh is the Ukrainian (Russian) Winter Solstice festival, celebrating their giver God, Dazh Boh, or Dazhbog. Dazh Boh not only celebrates the returning sun but the ancestors as well

Thanks a lot. I think my friend celebrates that last one. Gotta ask him. Thanks again!
