8800 gts oc 320mb :D & a.........XL BFG shirt wth? XL??? guess am using it for a pajama wear.

To bad they didn't gimme the 640mb was it? :rolleyes:

nah, you definitely would have wanted the 512mb version (g92)

320 < 640 < 512, for the most part
 
same here with EVGA, i actually forgot i had the 7900GT, was in the closet over a year after it stopped working, bought one of those Zotac cards for $99, sold 8600GT for $50, so i put together a 8800GTS 320 setup for like $50 :)

those new 4850's might be great, but they still cannot beat that
 
I just got a 8800gts g92 512 from evga, I sent in a 7900gt. I kinda felt bad cause it's in my girlfriend's rig and never see's anything above the sims and tiger woods golf.
 
Darn lol I wish I received a 512 one :[, especially since I have a 24 in monitor :(
 
I got back an 8800 GTS 640 when I RMA'd my EVGA 7900 GT 512.

I wish I had gotten an 8800 GTS 512, though, so that I could SLI (with a new motherboard). :D

i just modded my Lanparty NF4-D to SLI and SATA2 while i had it apart...so free upgrade to SLI for me :)
 
I RMAed my 7900GT KO and got a 8800GTS 320MB back from EVGA back in April or so. Then I RMAed my 6800 OC and got a 7800 OC back from BFG plus an X-L T-shirt, which fit two of me in it. Hehehehe....
 
Hmm....I just checked the specs on my 8800 gts 320mb card and came up with this

# Core Clock- 540 MHz
# Shader Clock- 1296 MHz
# Memory Clock- 792 MHz

I was looking at a review and they mentioned their specs were
# Core Clock- 550 MHz
# Shader Clock- 1300 MHz
# Memory Clock- 1600 MHz

is it me or is my memory clock downclocked like crazy?

It's double pumped, 792 = 1584
 
The core clock may been OCed from 540 to 550.
The shader clock is at 1296, which if you round it up, it's 1300.
The memory clock is running DDR2, so it's 1600 (/2=800, which is more a round up of 792).

That's my guess.
 
yeah ddr(in this case ddr3) is double pumped. some programs read it as the main value, but most people refer to the ddr value, since advertising does that to make it seem faster. so 792 ~ 1600mhz ddr. the review you read was probably for an OCed version since 550 is a pretty high clock for stock. if your at 540 seems you got an oced version as well, just not as extreme.

Oh, I gotcha. Btw by registering this card, will there be a trade up available or not? since I got this card via RMAing my 7900GT OC

Don't know about BFG, but with EVGA RMA'ed cards are no longer eligible for Step Up.

Nice they sent the 8800GTS 320MB. I had once seen someone get an 8600GTS for their 7900GT RMA (boo!).
