Hmm Need some help please

I just got my Dell2407 yesterday and I hooked up the DVI cable to the video card.
Now heres the problem.

When I run windows resolution at 1600x1200 for eg: Red and green lines show up on my screen going up and down. not just a few but several.
If I run the resolution at 1920x1200 It works fine.

Anyone else encounter this problem?

well, its a dell

try changing the video drivers?
if not that could be a moire or convergence setting on the monitor, if there are any.
if not call dell and see what they say. you might have a fubar'd monitor.
