My PC is having some problems running HL2. I've tried some "optimization guides" but none of them really seem to work.
It isn't the greatest, but oh well (it should still be able to run it no problem, and it isn't)
-MSI 865PE Neo 2 Motherboard
-Pentium 4 3.0ghz 800fsb
-ATi Radeon X800 Pro
-1.2 gb ram
-120 gig hdd
-TDK DVD -/+ RW
-Thermaltake Silent PurePower Power Supply
Ideally, this should run the Source engine (HL2 and CS:S mainly) just fine, correct? Because it doesn't sometimes. I have some problems now and then, it isn't completely smooth.
I was thinking it was either the graphics card or the ram. I think it isn't very good ram. Could those be the problem at all?
My 3DMark score is 8892 (I believe thats what it was). What's going wrong here, if any of you guys have an idea?
