HL2 release time

i know this is the video card section but it has a lot of people viewing it so i was just wondering when the exaact release time is for HL2. people keep telling me it's 12:00am pst, is this true?

Yes, its 12am PST (valve is located in washington state) so when it hits 12am here (california) it is released everywhere else.

hehe i hate that steam is part of it, I work for Best Buy & my hands found them self on a copy last week & it came home with me then but i cant realy play it because of steam check to see if it legit & its not out yet so its eatting a big hole in me

lol.. i'm waiting too, but i'll have to wait even longer because the preload is still going hah. I should have done it earlier. Damn connection is slow.. Game has been preloading for about 4 hours and is only 50% done
