hl2 hard release date?

has an exact release date been set or is it still up in the air because of the script leak? ive heard mid-september and early-october. the couple online stores ive checked have all said early october.

is there an exact date yet?

Negative, he speaks of Hard Liquor 2, a game where you drink beers as fast as you can by clicking your mouse button. Extra points are awarded for beating your spouse and finding the remote control. The game ends when you pass out. I give it 1 out of 5 stars...
 
why do you people keep posting these pointless threads.....

IF ANYONE KNEW OF THE "exact date" IT WOULD BE POSTED ALL OVER THE INTERNET INCLUDING THE "GAMES FORUMS"....STOP ASKING YOU MOOKS. THIS HAS TO BE CLOSE TO THE 100 THREAD ON THIS TOPIC.

OMG NOW WAY! I loved Home-Lawns 1. I played it for 4 years 6 hours a day.. I remember there was this once cool mod for it called CS (Carpet Sweepers), that game was cool, but now it just sucks ass..

Ahh the good ol days.

so has everyone dismissed the september 1st release date listed at ebgames.com? dunno how you all feel about www.gamespot.com but in their rumor control article which takes popular rumors floating around the net and they give their opinion on it. they said the sept. 1 date has a good chance of being real.
 
Oh, yay. Another over-asked question yet again responded to with lame, un-funny sarcasm. We're just not seeing enough of that...we need to have a crack team of guys form an elite squadron of sarcasm, who can sit at their computers waiting for the next over-asked question to be asked and then collaborate and form a predictable sarcastic reply THE FUNNINESS OF WHICH THE WORLD HAS NEVER SEEN BEFORE.

I heard HL2 is part of a 2 pack with Duke Nukem Forever. :cool:
 
I thought HL2 stood for Home-Less 2, you know that one sequal to the online rpg where u get to be a hobo on the big citty and you have to do odd jobs to earn money for drugs and food like giving head jobs or standing on streat corners dressed up as a lady trying to hook.

i dunno, i MIGHT be missaken. :p

1. i DID look a few pages back
2. it makes no sense to search for a thread with 8 month old info considering the 'date' has changed 57 times in the past 3 months alone

true, but there's really no way it it could make that date. When the game goes gold, Valve's gonna announce it. They're not just going to sit idlely by and then spring it on us the day it hits shelves. That's why they haven't set a specific release date since they said it was coming 9/31/03. They don't wanna screw up that big again.

That's ironic :p The post right under this one when I clicked is titled "HL2 delayed again?" and the last 10 posts in it are about how there is no hard release date.
 
I think I remember when I heard of this game the first time, I think I first heard of its development when I was playing Night Stalker on my Intellivision. This game was called "Half-Life 2". I dont remember when I saw the first screenshots, maybe it was 86, but I saw them and I was in awe. We, the patient, know that one day humanity will be rewarded for this wait. But like the Colossus of Rhodes this great effort takes time and I hope that it is completed so my grandchildren can one day bask in the glory of its CD, DVD, Holocube, or whatever they are using 40 years from now.
