Hl2 Ctd?

Hey,

I got a SLI rig with geforce 6800gts, and when I load up HL2 I get as far as the loading screen with the city backround and it crashes? Have the latest drivers and it worked on my old rig so I am a bit baffled. And apparently the deathmatch works but single doesnt.
