Hello,
My friend called me up and has this tv and hooked up his computer to it.
he told me it was 1080p so i told him to just set his rez to 1920x1080

but i guess it kinda has a little flicker at this setting. Hes running it via componet out from a 8600gt

i looked up the monitor http://www.hdtvsolutions.com/Hitachi-P42H401.htm
but it shows the Resoloution is 1024x1080
so im thinking this is a 1080i mointor . What should the native resloution be set at in windows then? I know the nvidia control panel has a option for 1080p and 1080i but it dont really seem to set the resloution while its already been manual set.

also the only refresh rates he can choose from are either 29 or 30.

and would it be better to get a dvi to hdmi cable to run to either a reciever or straigt to the TV instead of running component? The TV does not have a DVI connection

Thanks
