I know Amy would never come here and announce this on her own, but I thought such a momentus milestone was deserving of mention.

8,000,000 points is an incredible amount of anything, and when you consider all the research that her farm has done to earn that many points......well, it staggers the mind.

Congrats Amy, wherever you are. Relic, if you are here, be sure to pass on the sentiment. :D
 
Last time I checked I had just donated 1 year 4 days+ of computer time to UD. Only using 4 sub gigahertz machines---
1 Pentium 366 laptop
1 AMD K6-3 450
1 Celeron 500
1 AMD K7 850mhz
 
Not really a milestone, but I am approaching 300K in points quickly. And with the help of the 1.2 GHz AMD I just brought online yesterday, it's helping me get there. :)

In UD points and results are not the same. Each work unit you send in counts as a single result. Each result is worth a certain amount of points calculated using some kind of formula.

The number of results you turn in each day varies by the amount to time it takes to process the work units on your computers. It's probably not a good way to measure the total work done since the work unit completion time can vary by a great amount day to day.

I just checked the UD stats for your account, 101,205 points and 268 results.

I hit one of those milestone numbers. 5 million to be exact!

It was a couple of weeks ago, but I thought it still bore mentioning.
 
I ought to look at the machines more often... :rolleyes:

10 years processing time, 8500 units and 1.5 million points.

One machine has been responsible for 300k of the points. :eek:
