Hissing Noise

Hello,

I have JBL Creatures, and am very satisfied with them, except one thing. When I move my treble up on the sub, a light hissing noise starts to grow as I move the treble up. Moving the speakers around doesn't do anything. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
