Hissing noise

My brand-new Antec Sonata II (picked up at a CompUSA liquidation sale for $90) is pretty quiet, except for a loud hissing noise coming from the PSU. Anyone know what it is, and how I can stop it? It's pretty obnoxious.

Also, do you think I can run an Athlon XP 1800+ without a fan in this case? It recommends going fanless in the manual.

And do you think I can get an RMA on the PSU if I have a broken clip on the motherboard plug? I had to break it off because some dumb Abit engineer put a pair of capacitors right where the clip should fit.

they should RMA it, antec is usually pretty nice, if not, find a trashed PSU, get a pin removal tool and switch plugs :)

(1) RMA the PSU.

(2) Never run fanless with an Antec PSU.

Well, there's a 120mm case fan right next to the CPU, and there's a fresh air intake tube right over the CPU, so it sucks cool air right over the heatsink with a 120mm fan. I just don't know if it's enough to cool the CPU and the rest of the PC, but I never used to use case fans anyway.

If you are going to use Antec PSU's, then case fans are required. ;)
