HIS 5770 Dying

The fan on my HIS HD5770 is dying. It has always been the loudest component in my case (see sig), and I'd like to change that with this upgrade. I'm still piddling on some older or less demanding games; the HD5770 lets me play most everything at high/highest. I do use both of my screens (1900x1200, 1680x1050) for multiple clients of Eve Online, and is the only time I ever back down the settings.

What I'm looking for:
1. Quiet
2. Sub-$200 range, preferably nearer $150
3. As much performance increase while still meeting #1 & #2.

I'm out of the loop between builds, so I look to you for recommendations or direction on which cards to research.

Thanks much.

1) Look for aftermarket cards (MSI TF, Asus TOP, etc.)
2) 7870 GTX 660, if you willing to spend a touch more 7950/GTX 660Ti
3) 7950 will probably give you the most noticeable improvement, especially at higher resolutions

Check your local craigslist. I've been seeing a lot of 7950s in the 140 - 180 range.

I may replace the fan to put it into my HTPC, but this is the cycle of life for my PCs. I put $150-$200 into my video cards every 18-24 months, and for the past 5 years this has served my gaming habits well.

Thank you all for your input and the links. I spent a couple hours researching based on your tips and decided on the 7850 with two game codes. Looking forward to Wednesday :)
