i wanted a way to connect the computer at my mom's house to the network at my dads house. so i downloaded LogMeIn Hamachi. can Hamachi allow me to access files ad my dads house from my moms and visa versa?
 
yup, hamachi will exactly what you are looking for, use grc.com/passwords to get you keys, and install the hamachi client on all the machines you want access to, you can also run vnc unencrypted in the "tunnel" created by hamachi as hamachi is providing very very good security....
