Well, I'll be building a rig for my g/f soon. It will be a mobile Barton 2400+, and I'm going to overclock it. Haven't decided on cooling yet, maybe an SP-97 or something.
Anyway, it hit me, I've never overclocked anything but an Intel system in my life. I know with Intels, it's best to stay under 1.7 volts, but I know AMD's can take more voltage... What's the highest that's safe, and won't significantly degrade the life of the chip? 1.75 volts? 1.8 volts?
Just trying to get an idea of how much headroom I'll have
Thanks guys
