Higher resolution and cursor speed.

I was hoping someone that knew could answer this question for me.

I recently got a new monitor increasing my resolution from 1280x1024 to 1680x1050. It feels like my mouse sensitivity has become a lot faster. Does this happen with higher resolutions or am I just paranoid?
 
Maybe your old monitor had higher input lag? If you think the mouse sensitivity is too high, you can lower it :)
