ok, first off, specs are in sig

second, i was originally using sisoft Sandra to judge how well my oc was going (i am really lazy, and just wanted a quick comparison to myself of whether or not the tweak/oc helped and/or by how much - worked well) and that went all well and nice, right now in sandra it puts me slightly past the 3200+, which is right on....

anyway, i decided for fun to see my 3Dmark01 SE score was, so i installed it, gave my vid card a nice little 15mhz boost core/mem (haven't really bothered to oc it much, been working more on CPU), and set IQ to performance (using cat 4.3, just put the slider to performanc - no AA/AF), and set the resolution to 1024x768 in 3dmark01

so far so good..... so i run the benchmark (i think i rebooted first for a fresh start and to give the changes i made to take effect) and everyting seems to be running nice and fast and smooth

then i watched some TV for about 10min (simpsons were on - can't miss them) and came back to see a 3Dmark01 score of about 13500.....

WTF???? my old 2200+ (non oced) got about the same score......

any ideas of what might be wrong? (do realize, i think 3dmark is crap and has no real world performance, however, it is distressing to see scores go DOWN when the should be much higher)

P.S. system is stable (sisoft burn-in + alittle prime for about 12hours)

Did you have AA or AF enabled in the 3DMark options? Are you running the latest build of 3DMark and disabled your Anti-Virus and other background programs etc?

Vsync=Always OFF in the driver CP? (For me) It seems every update the damn thing likes getting turned back on.

AA/AF disabled in driver AND 3dmark, Build 330 of 3dmark, and no anti-virus or any background progs running (cept mbm5 - but that was on both times)

yup, definitely off

same patch/versions of 3dmark used both times?

yeah, build 330 9even used same install)

one diff tho, not sure how big a deal this would make, but i am now using cat4.3s instead of 3.7s like i was
