1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming.
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
I'd like to stay under 3k total.
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Rockville, MD, USA
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Case, Fans, CPU, CPU/GPU Liquid Cooling, Motherboard, Memory, Video Card(s), Power Supply, Hard Drives(s), Blue-Ray/DVD
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
N/A
6) Will you be overclocking?
Yes.
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
Still undecided between a 24" or 27" and 1080p vs 1920 x 1200
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
No rush, probably in the next month or two.
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
All of the above?
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
No.
So I want to build a gaming PC which will run pretty much any game out there and be able to hold up pretty well for at least the next 2 years or so. It's been a good while since I've really been into the gaming scene so I've spent the past couple weeks catching up on the latest processors and video cards. I don't want to actually build it myself so I've been going to various PC builders, right now I'm leaning towards http://www.cyberpowerpc.com.
I'm still in the early planning stages but here's a build I've put together on their website...
Case: Azza Hurrican 2000 Full Tower Gaming Case with 4 Hot Swappable HDD Cage & (4) 230MM Fans [+40]
Internal USB Extension Module: None
Neon Light Upgrade: 12in Cold Cathode Neon Light [+10] (Blue Color)

Noise Reduction Technology: Sound Absorbing Foam on Side, Top And Bottom panels [+29]
CPU: Intel® Core i7-3820 Quad-Core 3.60 GHz 10MB Intel Smart Cache LGA2011 (All Venom OC Certified)
Performance Tuning Protection Plan by Intel: Intel® Core i7-3820 Performance Tuning Protection Plan by Intel [+29]
Venom Boost Fast And Efficient Factory Overclocking: Extreme OC (Extreme Overclock 20% or more) [+49]
Cooling Fan: CyberPower Xtreme Hydro Liquid Cooling Kit 240MM w/ Dual Fan(CPU & GPU Liquid Cool Capable, Extreme Overclocking Performance + Extreme Slient at 18dBA) [+63]
Coolant for Cyberpower Xtreme Hydro Water Cooling Kits: High-Performance Coolant powered by Koolance [+19] (Clear Color)
Motherboard: (SLI/CrossFireX) Asus P9X79 Intel X79 Chipset Quad Channel DDR3 ATX w/ UEFI BIOS, 7.1 HD Audio, Intel GbLAN, USB3.0, SATA-III RAID, 3 Gen3 PCIe X16, 2 PCIe X1 & 1 PCI
Memory: 8GB (2GBx4) DDR3/1600MHz Quad Channel Memory (Corsair Vengeance [+22])

Freebies: None
Video Card 2: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2GB 16X PCIe 3.0 Video Card (ETA 5/20) [+620] (Major Brand Powered by NVIDIA)
Video Card 3: None
Power Supply Upgrade: 1,000 Watts - Azza Titan 80 Plus Bronze Power Supply [+66]
Hard Drive: 60 GB Intel 520 Series SATA-III 6.0Gb/s - 550 MB/s Read & 520 MB/s Write [+5] (Single Drive)
Data Hard Drive: 2TB (2TBx1) SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 64MB Cache 7200RPM HDD [+110] (Single Drive)
USB Flash Drive: None
Optical Drive: LG UH12LS28K 12X Blu-Ray Player & DVDRW Combo Drive (BLACK COLOR)
Optical Drive 2: None
Sound: HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO
Internal USB Port: Built-in USB 2.0 Ports
Operating System: Microsoft® Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit Edition)
The total of that build would come out to about $2600 not including a monitor. I understand having someone else build your computer is more expensive but at the end of the day I'm ok with paying a little more to save myself a few headaches. At the same time if I can save a little money by swapping out some parts and get the same result, why not.
For example one thing I've been battling with is whether to get a single GTX 680/690, or SLI 680. As of now I'm leaning towards SLI 680. The other things I'm battling with is whether to go with a 24 inch monitor or bigger, and if I should stick with a 1080p or go with 1920 x 1200.
Any thoughts/suggestions on this build or of any better PC builders?
