High temps with x800

Ok, so my idle temp right now is 50*C and ambiant is 41*C. Is this something to be conserned about on my Asus x800 Pro? I plan on water cooling it within the next couple of weeks(just set up my main loops with just cpu) but is it stable to run my vid card that hot until I do?
 
Yeah, you're okay with that. But if your load goes above 70c and you play for hours, that ain't good.

mine idles at 47c, ambient is ~41c so you're not doing bad at all......... seems right in the ballpark, seeing as I replaced my TIM with AS5.....
 
I don't know how the x800's compare to the 6800's, but my GT runs 58-60 idle...haven't measured it under load but I have no stability or performance issues whatsoever when playing BF2 for 2 hours or more.
 
ya i just finished a game of bf2 with everest running on my second monitor, I think it peaked around 78*C at least from what I saw in the heat of the action. But in general play it was around 70*C. That's with medium graphics.
