High speed internet for playing PS4 online

Hi, i just moved and i got a PS4. We are having a DSL at home. Now I need to upgrade my plan, Need to know about that 'Fair' bandwidth needed to play online games using PS4?

I believe the general rule of thumb is 10 down / 5 up.

I also had some issues with my router, anyway need to change it when upgrading to cable internet.

I'd also look at companies like teksavvy (looks like your Canadian), they can do cable and dsl for good rates. But like horrowshow said I'd aim for 10/5 min, biggest thing though is the quality of the connection. My old cable service constantly screwed me oer with bad service, I paid for 30/5 package but the average day all I got was 15/3 with some days going as bad as 2/1with horrible pings but now on a fiber to the door setup and getting a solid 168/168 with 20ms pings across the country all the time and its awesome.
