Currently, what would be the best card for higher resolution gaming?

i.e

1920x1200+

Thanks :)

Both nVidia and ATI have new generations out. Look up the reviews on the main page.

The best would be the AMD 5970. But its price is a little outrageous, as well as its power draw.

Single monitor GTX 580, surround gaming not sure but it looks like 6970 Crossfire X, could possibly be GTX 580 SLi Overclocked > 6970 Crossfire X Overclocked.

There is about 10 other thread just like this currently open on the forum... try searching?

Thanks :)

Depends what you mean by +
1920x1200: HD6850 Crossfire.
2560x1600: HD6970 Crossfire

Well I didn't really see any threads pertaining to my resolution.

The only issue I have with ATI/AMD is the drivers, I've heard terrible things about them. Alas, if it's mostly rumors and not actually facts I guess I'll go 6970 Crossfire.

The current fastest single GPU out is the NVIDIA GTX 580.

Followed by the ATI 6970, then the NVIDIA GTX 570, then the ATI 6950... depending on game and resolution of course.

What are you playing? What's your budget?
