I'm looking for a television-quality video conferencing solution for communication between my company and several clients, ranging from local to international.

I'm looking for the following features specifically:
High Quality Video/Audio
Real-Time, with as little lag as possible
Possibly a dual-endpoint solution with matching hardware
AS CHEAP AS POSSIBLE

Is anyone here using anything like this? I need to know my options, and I can't seem to get any straight answers from any companies i've talked to thus far.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The first thing you need for a high-end video-conference would be a great Internet connection. Not only you, but also you clients/partners.
Then offcourse you need good software, and a good video/sound cart. And a good webcam offcourse.

But the most important thing (i guess) is your internet connection, because when that sucks, you can never get a high-end conference without any lag :)

well, i could get DECENT results with a couple high-end webcams and fucking msn messanger, but that's not what i'm looking for. there's gotta be a professional solution that small businesses use on a daily basis, i know they exist, but i'm also not exactly ready to hire a specialist firm for something that i could hook up myself

Yea, I have one of these at work it uses like 6 ISDN lines and costs a boatload of cash. :D It's cool though/no lag at all. :p

I think microsoft just launched a piece of software that makes video conferanceing easier... not sure whats its called or what it cost... also how many people will be in the conferance room... because the best thing to do it to cover the entire room with 2 to 4 condenser ceiling mics.... give more spects and im sure some people here can help you out... also are you looking for a camera w/ a yoke?

i'm looking at everything from single to multiple mic configurations, and i need a camera with a swivel base, or possibly a setup that would move the camera based on where the voice is coming from. i would really like to be able to guage my options here, what kind of popular setups are there?

id go with polycom, it was we use here and have about 15 sites.
if you also plan on getting a bridge, i would definately reccomend against polycom, go with accord of something else.

a bridge? explain

also, are there any competitors for polycom out there, they have BAR-NONE the perfect solutions for our company, but i keep thinking that they MUST have some competition in their field. I know it doesn't just go from a Logitech Quick-Cam to this, there's gotta be more out there
