What is the best high power wireless router or access point for home use? I'm looking for the most powerful one I can buy specifically for use overseas, so power output limits and channel restrictions do not matter.

Someone here can correct me if I'm wrong, but routers have limited transmission strengths per FCC regulations. You can use a firmware like DD-WRT to boost the juice past compliance (and is why my old WRT-54G is pumping 802.11g out past the end of my driveway and well into my backyard and is making the neighbor's wireless N jealous) but retail routers pretty much max out at the same levels.

But, out of curiosity, I googled for "highest power router" (I'll admit, was looking for an easy LMGTFY) and it came up with some Buffalo Nfiniti routers that are surprise surprise, running DD-WRT.
