Well it looks like the Samsung/Dell 27" monitors are coming out next month, and with a 1920x1200 resolution that gives it a .303 pixel pitch. I really want the larger size as I'll be watching a lot of movies and games on the monitor (but also doing some AutoCAD work), but is this too high of a pitch? keep in mind i usually sit at least 2-2.5 ft from the monitor, except when i watch movies at which point i'll be a good 6 or 7 feet away. what do you guys think?

anyone? i cant seem to replicate the pixel pitch, so how bad is it at .303?

Well the way to replicate the pixel pitch is to simply sit closer to one that has a finer pitch.

As far as how much closer, maybe someone will be interested and not lazy like me, in doing the math. It's a simple geometry exercise. I for one would think it would be perfect pixel pitch for sitting far away.

Go look at a 19" LCD. At .294 it is close enough.

I can't stand how coarse 19" is and bought a 17" instead. I still find 17" a bit coarse, but not near as bad as 19". If you like 19" you will be fine.

to be honest...in my opinion it's fine. I was really worried about this too when I was getting my westinghouse 37". I thought the pixel size would bug me but it really doesn't. In the end it really depends on how far you want to sit from the screen, so it really is a personal judgement call.

It's a riddle?
What about these specs: 24", Dot Pitch/Pixel Pitch 0.23 mm, 2304 x 1440
Which Monitor?

0.303 in fact 0.30 instead of 0.27
