I have a MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum mobo. What exactly do the BIOS options 'High Performance' and 'Aggressive Timing' do (besides boosting my framerates by a considerable amount)? Is it related to the memory? I have 2x512 GeIL pc3200 ultra x dual channel memory.

Nothing in my system is overclocked (yet).

Sorry for my newbieness, and thanks.

I'm assuming 'High Performance' means optimising BIOS settings to increase performance, such as graphics aperture, HD settings for DMA, as well as other little things like that. 'Aggressive timings' no doubt means setting the RAM timings to the optimum, to ensure good system performance. See the Memory forums FAQ about this if you want to find out more. There is a slight risk that settings the timings to 'aggressive' will make the system less stable, but that depends on the RAM, although your RAM probably can handle the timings.

lol @ your nerd joke.

I used to love doing derivatives and integrals. Loads of fun!
