I need a bit of help here.
I picked up a Dell Dimension 8400 with an nVidia 6800 in it. I have had it for a couple weeks and at random times I see one of the logical CPUs usage go to about 35% and stay there for up to 10 minutes.
Digging into it, it appears that the videoprt.sys driver is using sometimes up to 60% of the CPU with DPCs. When that is going on the machine is useless. Garbled sound, slow mouse, etc. I have the latest drivers installed for everything.
Has anyone ever seen something like that before? Any ideas?
Tx,
Mike
