What voltage increases help to get a higher BCLK than 209 on an ASUS P6T Deluxe?
 
Anyone? Im wondering how high i should put my ICH/IOH voltages and whether or not the PCI-E voltages should go up as well?
 
PCI-E voltage should remain the same. However, you may want to bump PCI-E frequency up a tad (maybe to 103).

You could give a few bumps to IOH/ICH Core voltages to help stabilize as well.
 
If you don't already you could bump you multiplier to 21, at a 209 BCLK that takes you to 4.3GHz, unless you're just trying to squeeze everything out of that 920, I really don't see how much higher you could go than that anyway.
 
You might also try adding more cpu pll voltage (1.88v is safe. Normal is 1.80v)

Im at 1.9 on PLL anyway.

I cant really get much more out of this chip in regards to clock speed, so im going for bclk/memory. BTW it's NOT a D0


I will knock the voltages up a tad on ICH me thinks and see where i get.
 
Right, nuts to it, im settling for 201x20.

Next question, instability. I am running prime stable for sometime (an hour) and played L4D2 for an hour and a half no problems but when i loaded up Winamp to play music it locked up. I rebooted, loaded winamp, started to play music and it locked up straight away again. I don't get it, usually when im having stability issues when overclocking the CPU i get it failing tests in Prime95 not this.
 
I've found the linpack type tests (~10 passes for quick check) to be good for finding instability in the cpu and ram that P95 will usually miss. recently ran P95 for 8hrs w/o any trouble, then decided to check out intel burn test for shits, failed 2/10 tests =/
 
oh, don't forget to monitor cpu temps as you use this type of test, it'll get nearly 9C hotter than P95 usually does e.e
 
Hmmm i will deffo then, it see's 90c (once) in P95.... I am going to re-seat my heatsink tonight.
 
Oh my dear god i cant get 4GHz stable, this is really annoying me now. I wouldn't mind but the highest stable is 3.93 still, just so very nearly there but yet so far! It doesn't help that i have a retarded design of heatsink with a direct contact heatpipe....
