Adult website xHamster has partnered with engineers to create a small battery operated motion sensor dubbed "minimeyes." The device uses an infrared sensor placed within 16' of a doorway, and an app on your computer or smartphone. If the sensor detects any movement, it will minimize all the windows on your desktop, and optionally mute the sound. Currently at $965 of it's $96,000 goal on Indiegogo, the response has been a bit lackluster. The product developer Moos Neimeijer added in an update that multiple computers can be hidden by one minimeyes provided they are all running the application.
I'm reminded of the old "CTRL+B" Boss keys that games used to have. While it's a clever idea, and I can understand it's usefulness to some individuals, I REALLY don't want to know what situation you'd want multiple computers triggered from one minimeyes. The only thing that comes to mind is a LAN party gone really wrong.
The minimeyes motion sensor monitors for people intruding your private space and when they do, it hides all open windows on your computer and mutes the sound. On mobile devices it will close the app you're using (Android) or show a notification and make a sound alert (iOS).
