Im working on a Toshiba laptop with Vista Home sp2.
The system runs terrible. The cpu consumption joggles back and forth between 50-100%, and the system uses 1.5gb of ram at idle.
In safe mode it does not do this.
No processes show up in Task Manager as being resource hogs.
I've run hijackthis, nothing suspicious. Malware bytes and virus scanners return no results.
Ive tried loading Windows with only the microsoft services in msconfig. Same problem. I've tried disabling the common offenders (Windows Automatic Update and RAC in my experience), still no dice.
Anyone have any ideas? Getting pretty fed up with this thing.
