I don't know how legit this is, but I want to believe it's true. I guess if you have time you can try this out for yourself. I just want to know how this was found in the first place.

So wait... are they talking the original 1994 Doom or the recent release (aka 'Doom 4').
I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around it if it's the 1994 Doom, because I could swear all of that was MIDI based.
"666" and satanic imagery is all over the place actually. Nothing new here.
Yeah, and it's still disturbing. Sorry, but I don't have a "burning" desire to spend eternity in hell.![]()
More than likely legit. As for how they found it, hidden images like that sort of sound like bursts of modem noise, so if there seem to be repeating patterns of something that sounds like what lifting the phone up when you were connected to the internet or a BBS over dialup, it's a good indicator that there might be something hidden in a spectral analysis of the audio!
And the funny thing is that latest interpretations of the scripts imply that 666 is not the number of the beast."666" and satanic imagery is all over the place actually. Nothing new here.
Wait, you actually believe in that stuff?Yeah, and it's still disturbing. Sorry, but I don't have a "burning" desire to spend eternity in hell.![]()
Wait, you actually believe in that stuff?![]()
Aphex Twin was doing this back in the 90's.
Example (at about 5:20 or so)
Wait, you actually believe in that stuff?![]()
Well the people who put this satin stuff in their products sure do, and that's a lot of them! In short, yeah, I do.
Oh calm down. If Elias doesn't like you taking about dark forces then respect that. You put a soft silky fabric in all your products? You sell lingerie?
Well actually I'm fairly sure that people who put this stuff in the game did not believe in it. They would be scared to put them there if they did. Or mentally unstable if they did believe and still put it there.Well the people who put this satin stuff in their products sure do, and that's a lot of them! In short, yeah, I do.

Yes, a lot of us do.
I have no interest in immersing my mind in this imagery for hours on end no matter "how good the graphics" are.
I find it disturbing and sad that focusing on such evil imagery is now "entertainment".

I love the music but that explanation was really cringe-worthy... dude, you just applied some effects to sine waves like almost every other electronic artist does, stop trying to sound like you did something revolutionary... then again, he seemed genuinely geeked about it all so maybe he just learned about it by accident or somethin... again, cool music so big props to the guyactually shows how he "corrupted the pure sine waves of the music"
But saying he "corrupted the pure sine wave" makes it sound more Doom-yI love the music but that explanation was really cringe-worthy... dude, you just applied some effects to sine waves like almost every other electronic artist does, stop trying to sound like you did something revolutionary... then again, he seemed genuinely geeked about it all so maybe he just learned about it by accident or somethin... again, cool music so big props to the guy
But...this should definitely be the game for you then...because you're a Demon slayer. The passive narrative that's in the game proclaims that while in Hell, you were the baddest MF of all time and demons were literally scared of you because you kicked so much demon ass.
I never understood the complaints about satanic imagery in games where you're playing a character with the sole purpose of beating the snot out of satan. When diablo came out, people complained about that yet the entire premise of the game was fighting the devil. Same thing with doom, you stop an attempted invasion by the forces of hell and spend the entire game killing demons. It would only make sense that when you go to hell to kick satan in the taint, he's going to have the place decorated to look like hell and not coated in sunshine and rainbows. Most games can't claim to have a premise that falls in line so well with christianity like doom.
I get the angle of being a demon slayer, I really do. And I even tried to use that to legitimize buying the game in my mind.
I've been a gamer for many years and get the cool and fun factor of the game. I played Doom 1 & 2 and all of the Nazi
killing stuff in the Wolfenstein games, etc. This game however takes the evil imagery to another level from what I've seen.
The imagery of this game just sickens me. If it were just "killing monsters" without all of the satanic imagery, it would be
very easy for me to buy this game and enjoy the fuck out of it.
I'm not a very good Christian really, but trying. I've learned that it does matter what I focus my attention on.
I'm not likely to give up booze, pron, or loud rock music anytime soon though.
This is just my view on this.... I don't want to be preachy about it.
Everybody has their own free will, and many will view this differently.

lol...
*Spartacus at the pearly gates*
God: Says here on my list of no-no's that you were playing that new Doom in 2016. Do you have anything to say for yourself?
Spartacus: Uhhhh, I lead a good life though? I fed the poor, build houses for homeless and genuinely was a decent person.
God: SILENCE PEON! To hell with you and the rest of those damn Doom players!
Wow what a racist story. Of course the black wolf is everything bad."A group of Cherokee children has gathered around their grandfather. They are filled with excitement and curiosity. That day there had been a quite tumultuous conflict between two adults and their grandfather was called to mediate. The children are eager to hear what he has to say about it.
One of the children pops the question that puzzles him. “Grandfather, why do people fight?”. “Well” the old man replies “we all have two wolves inside us, you see. They are in our chest. And these wolves are constantly fighting each other”. The eyes of the children have grown big by now. “In our chests too, grandfather?” asks another child. “And in your chest too?” asks a third one. He nods, “yes, in my chest too”. He surely has their attention now. Grandfather continues. “There is a white wolf and a black wolf. The black wolf is filled with fear, anger, envy, jealousy, greed, and arrogance. The white wolf is filled with peace, love, hope, courage, humility, compassion, and faith. They battle constantly”. Then he stops. It’s the child that asked the initial question that can’t handle the tension anymore. “But grandfather, which wolf wins?”. The old Cherokee simply replies, “the one that we feed”."
