Hi all...i've been out of the PC gaming world for a few years but a certain game is drawing me back in. I'm looking to build a new PC (been I-MACd for a while...don't shoot me), but I have no monitor, and no desire to buy one. I currently have an HD TV, but it does not have a DVI input.

I notice the new ATI X800 PE will contaibn connectors for an HD set, but I was really hoping to go with one of NVIDs newer cards.

Does anyone here play on an HD, and what kind of hook up are you using. Does nvid sell a DVI to component device like ATI?

Any info would be appreciated.
thanks,
mac

Oh my god... connectors for a High Def set? Is that true? If so Im shooting myself in the leg right now... I have an HDTV about 4 feet from my computer. Svideo looks like crap :)

All you need is 3 RCA cables to hook up an component out, I do it sometimes on my parents HDTV. You'll need that converter though that plugs in the back of the x800. Look on ATI's website, they sell the component adapter for about 20 bucks if you don't have it. My x800 pro came with it and it looks FANTASTIC on the HDTV wayyyy clearer than the s-video and I used some cheap ass RCA cables for it.
