Hey guys, I noticed something odd now that I moved most of my machines over to V7 client, they seem to be picking up A3 cores frequently and HFM can't get the WU info from them. So I get a progress indication but no PPD estimate. This only happens with A3 units, as soon as it picks up an A4 it works fine.

Any way to fix this? Or just live with it?

Under Preferences -> Web Settings, Set the Project Download URL to:
http://fah-web.stanford.edu/psummaryC.html
Press OK
Then Tools -> Download Projects from Stanford

EDIT:
You might also want to start with this file:
http://hfm-net.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/doc/ProjectInfo/ProjectInfo.tab
Download that to you c:\users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\HFM directory
Replace the one that is there THEN do the steps above
That will get you the most complete projectinfo

EDIT2: URL to ProjectInfo.tab corrected

The HTML file is a little different (it adds the C at the end)

Also see the Edit I made to my first post.

Sounds good I'll check it out when I get home from work. Thanks for the help.

EDIT: Actually though, it reads the A3 units fine off of my 6.34 machines, even if they have the same WU the 6.34 machine will display PPD while the V7 will only display percentage completed and list unknown for everything else.

Now that is weird, I have never seen that.

Can you supply some example project #'s?

I'll let you know when I get home and look at the history, but I was just working on an 8058 in V7 with no stats.

EDIT: Sorry it was an 8508. There were also several 7512 units. All of the A3 cores on v6.34 have info though.

You should only need to use psummaryC if you are a beta tester, as the C stands for Comprehensive and it includes all running projects, public and beta. If you do the "download projects from stanford" bit, you should be good to go as long as the project appears on the the psummary page. Note that all the psummary pages are dynamically created from the work servers that hold the projects and if that server is offline for any reason, that project will disappear from psummary even though there may be WU still in the wild. Once HFM has seen a project, it will retain the data about it regardless of the psummary.

Okay, PsummaryC did fix it but I'm wondering why I'm getting beta WU's in that case. I only have -advanced tags on (that I know of anyways).

Yeah, I have never used beta flags and have needed psummaryC before also. I think the -advanced WU's may be on psummaryC.

Well thanks for all the help it downloaded a lot of units when I went to that one. Hopefully it will be good to go in the future.

Yes that is correct, the advanced flag is for late beta WU but does not require beta team membership, unlike the beta flag, which is for early beta WU.
