Ok, I'm 45, my idea of gaming is solitaire, I spend all day designing and troubleshooting massive networks and I hate sitting in front of a PC because that's all I ever get to do.

I'm sitting in my home office with three q6600 systems and I just bought another 8800gt to put in one of them. I don't even know what a pixel shader is, let alone why I would need one to open my email. And the real bite in the ass? I use a Dell P4 running XP with onboard video to do my work. These other systems are here to fold. I couldn't spell Linux without help but I have it running dual SMP clients on a quad.

So is this folding thing too hard for you?
You gonna get put to shame by a balding, middle-aged geek who is so lame he can't get a single kill in an FPS?

...and a bunch of misfits from down under are outproducing us...

hmmm

i have to say that since i began folding, my gaming hours have plummet to close to 30 minutes a week

so yes, it´s a dedicated effort

keep on folding :)

My gaming has fallen to a minimum, and now that the GPU client is out none at all.
For the Cause! :D

Running the GPU client as of last night on my gaming desktop. I do turn it off when I'm gaming. I also am in IT where I work, I got a couple of (desktop workstations i use) Sun boxes I would love to load the client on to help the cause but I can't find it for Solaris 9 or 10.

EDIT: sorry for the double post, the board has been really slow for me tonight....

If those Sun boxes are running SPARC's, you're out of luck. If they're Optys, you can get the Linux client running on them with a little effort. ring.of.steel got the console client going on solaris (no SMP though IIRC).

1 of them is Sparc based, the other is Opty. I'll look up the client.

THANKS!!!
