hey need help building SSF system for programming

well i have been out of the loop for a while so wonder if you guys can help me. I want to build a ssf mainly for sofware programing and webpage development. No gaming. Here is what i need:

--DVI port out --- because i have a 20in lcd that i will use (more screen area for webpage dev.)
The more on board intergation the better. I will probaly have it run 24/7. A good looking case is a plus, and black in color is prefered because my lcd is black. Thanks

Budget about $1000 or less
 
i know nothing about programming, what is most important? ram intensive? cpu intensive? multi proc? quietness? blue in color?
 
The nforce IGP based shuttle has a adaptor (that goes in the APG port) that gives you a DVI port. Or just add a cheap card like a 5200 or a 9200se
