Just wondering here, has anybody recently bothered to check the AA and AF levels on the newer Nvidia and ATI vid cards like the G92, or 3800 series? Just to ensure that both are maintaining their respective quality levels. IE from the first 8800 GTX article when Nvidia finally managed to pull out some kick ass AF levels finally beating out ATI's HQ AF http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MTIxOCw2LCwxNTA=
And possibly checking to see if the AA levels are being maintained as well, like the newer CSAA levels introduced with 8000 series cards.
I don't think I have seen anybody actually run the D3D AF tester on anything after the 8800 GTX/GTS review way back then.
If you run these checks, might be added as a footnote in your benchmarking methodology, and if anything screwy pops up (quack/quake) or the like to actually mention it in the review.
Just a thought.
