Thats awesome. Luckly flash memory is always going down in price as the technology seems to be rather new and is still expanding, I rember when 1gb flash drives were over $100 2 years ago. I just picked up a nice 1gb one at target for $14.99. Do the math and we can see that these should be affordable within 3-4 years.
 
Maybe not to the degree of the usb keys, but I can see ssds becoming very popular with laptop oems and enthusiasts like ourselves. I mean they do have almost no seek time. But I see them ending up like a power efficient raptor, not huge capacities, and kinda pricey.
