I just got a black Ipod nano today as an early christmas present from the girlfriend. I babied this thing to no end and emptied my pocket so as to prevent any scratches on its pristine surface. However, one coin hid my attempts and has scratched the back and front near the top. I am gutted. Is there any way to polish the plastic on the front and the metal on the back back to the pristine condition? My girlfriend will kill me if she finds out. :(

Help!

Edited for clarity: the scratches on the front are such that they can only be seen when viewed at a certain angle, however the ones on the back can be seen quite easily. This should give you an idea as to how scratched both sides are.

you can get stuff call ice-cream that will "help" but it all depends how deep it scratch is. it is made for the screen but I used it on my 4g and it took out the surface scratches and then I got a case asap.
