Ok.. i'm going to tell you exactly what happend. I had my 2.4c @ 3ghz (my rig is in sig) ..well i decided to up it a little. I set fsb to 275 which is 3.3 i think. Rebooted, and nothing comes up on the monitor, i hear one long beep and i think to myself *well..not workin i gess* so i tried to shut it down and i noticed the power button did not respond even though i held it in several times. SO..i turned the switch on my surge protector off..cleared cmos and turned the power back on..then tried to turn the computer back on and i got no response... absolutely nothing. I tried everything, ... EVERYTHING. I called a friend of mine and he suggested the psu which is what i thought ... its an enermax 550 and its only a year old. so.. i ordered a new enermax 460 and it should be here either tomoro or monday... some suggestions would be helpful :(

-thanks

I doubt it was your PSU. You could run your setup on a 350w PSU just fine. I prefer Antec PSU's myself and they usually do better then Enermax PSU's but Enermax is still a very good brand. I wouldn't buy any more 550w ones though cause 400w would be plenty big.

What kind of divider were you running with when you overclocked?

I was running 5:4 divider, and I cleared the cmos several times, even took out the battery and disconnected and reconnected the atx connections while doing so. Reseated the ram-swapped out both switching one at a time, reseated the video card, didnt take out the cpu because i didnt smell anything fry nor hear, so...:(

What brand of RAM do you have?

You realize when you set the FSB to 275Mhz that even with the 5:4 divider you still were trying to run the RAM at 220Mhz.
