i have dual sticks of Kingston Hyperx 512Mb Pc2700 ram. when i tried raising the fsb from 166 to 200, and hit restart, my system wouldnt start! the computer turned on, but nothing came up, not even the bios. i tried switching video cards, even tried a pc slot video card, and still nothing! my motherboard is an Epox 8rda3+. does anyone know whats wrong?

Try resetting the BIOS by the mobo jumper (usually near the battery....check your manual for location)

Can we get any other specs on the computer? 2700 is only rated to run up to DDR366 that was a rather large jump also. Try booting with one stick at a time, and try all of the slots. Things you could have done:

Fried CPU
Fried RAM

Those, while unlikly are possible. Or it could be as simple as that your voltages werent high enough for that and its just underpowered. So just reset your cmos.

thanks i cleared the bios and it was as good as new.

by the way, my specs are:
AMD Athlon XP 2500+ processor
Epox 8RDA3+
ATI Radeon 7000
Sound Blaster Audigy MP3+
V-stream xpert tv-pcr video capture card
TDK 32/12/42 cd burner
Mad dog 16x dvd rom drive

fyi to all people.. JP6 (jumper 6) will always reset the bios and correct this problem...
