i'm having problems assembling my computer. i got to the point of pluggin in the power supply and my PSU only has a 24 pin connector and a 6 pin for pcie. the board has an 8 pin spot am i screwed? will the 24 pin connector supply power to the board or do i need the 8 pin also? i don't want to fry the board. the board is the 123 yw e175 750i FTW board and the psu is the W0120RU thermaltake

The 8-pin connector isn't necessary. The 4-pin +12V CPU connector will fit into half of the 8-pin socket on the board, and that will be enough.

thanks for the replys, sorry it was so long till i came back. work sucks  i'll post what i come up with for the fix. i'm researching trying the 4 pin atm because as posted above it does fit and i verified that the 4 pin has +12vdc on both hot wires and the other two are grounds as listed for the requirements in the manual with a meter.
