Help!

Just 10 minutes ago I was doing my stuff on the computer like any other day, and all of a sudden my sound went shot. I'm using a Yamaha Amp and 2 yamaha speakers I inherited when my grandfather passed away. I would like to say they were about 16 years old.


I was listening to music and all of a sudden it got softer..and softer...and I could hear a high pitch ringing. How can I tell if it's the speakers or the amp?

It's most likely not the speakers... And I doubt it's your soundcard.
