Help!

I cannot seem to get my cpu to overclock w/ my serial ata drive.. every time i boost the settings up the hd disappears from my system.. I had it running well at 3.1 before with an ide drive ..but i cant seem to now

Do you have a Maxtor SATA? I have a feeling you do. If you do give them a call, ask to be directed to a Level 2 Tech. Tell them your problem and that you want the Firmware update for the drive. They will send you the update via e-mail. From there flash the firmware. However, you CANNOT do it on an NF4 chipset, it will fail.

perhaps a good solution would be to buy a nice SATA card and use that.
