Help - XBox Live compatible routers

I'm purchasing an XBox 360 very soon and plan on getting the wireless adapter to go with it, but I need to get some recommendations on a good wireless router that works with the XBox live network. Obviously the XBox live website has a small list of compatible routers, but the list is very small and also looks outdated as the routers listed there are the same ones I've seen for well over a year now. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Looking to spend no more than $50-80 for the router if that helps as far as a price range goes. Nothing extravagant, just something with good range that won't cut down the bandwith on my cable connection too much.
 
Here is something to keep in mind, as I just fought (and won) a tough battle with getting my 360 online with encryption and keeping my main wireless network (for the most part) on WPA2 encryption. The original xbox and xbox 360 wireless adaptors only support either no encryption, or WEP 64/128. WPA/WPA2 are out of the question unless you get a wireless bridge to connect to the 360 that supports WPA/WPA2 to connect to your router (i.e. not an xbox branded wireless adaptor/bridge).

Since I couldn't get the dual SSID functionality to play nice with the xbox (one SSID with WPA2 and one SSID with WEP 128), I ended up getting a wireless adaptor for my desktop, configuring it for WEP 128 and internet connection sharing in Windows XP, and connect the 360 to it via ad-hoc networking. But, once connected, since my internet connection went through my Linksys WRT54G v3 wireless router anyways, it worked fine with XBOX Live. I do have my router flashed with DD-WRT firmware though.

I did have an old Airlink AR525W that did a max of WEP 128 encryption, and it worked fine with XBOX Live wirelessly, and that used a generic Realtek chipset.
