HELP! X800XT overclocking issues!

I Need Help! With the specs in my sig, i can't overclock my x800xt at all. Even if i push it 10Mhz using ATI tool, I get patches of lines across my screen when 3dmark05 is ran or a game is played. It has an ATI silencer 4 on it, and temp is certainly not the issue. Do I need to up the voltage to the vpu? I dont understand why this is happening! Im seeing lots of people with huge success overclocking this card. I tried using omega drivers and they simply don't work with my system, they make windows navigation very slow and give me errors before i can even start up a game. I'm getting 3dmark05 scores of 5500-5650 with stock vpu speeds, and I know I can get well into the 6k's if I can get this card overclocked. Please Help!!
 
If the card doesn't overclock, it doesn't overclock.
There is nothing you can do, except RMA,
but then 80 people off this forum would question your morality :rolleyes:

Wrong, the X800 cores are very poor overclockers without sufficient voltage. :D

Is his problem widespread among many for stock voltages?
 
My current voltage is 1.6 , and i've seen people talking about getting it to 650 on 1.6 volts. I understand i can't do that on air, but what could the problem be?
 
Also, I have an antec truepower 430W PSU, with 410W for 3.3, 5, and 12V. Which should be fine?

I havent seen that, :D What is your agp set at also agp voltage.
 
I've also been hearing that the bios voltage wont help at all, and you need to Voltmod it to actually get the proper voltage to the card. Never the less, I should be able to at least get PE speeds with air on this card. I don't really care about the extra 5 fps or whatever, it just really bothers me that it wont OC at ALL :confused:
 
Send it to VIper John....then youwill get speeds like I have :D

I run at 1.7 on AGP
 
I've been using ATI tool. I tried the Omega drivers, but they make windows navigation very slow, and i get shader errors when i try to play games with them.
 
Well, I've managed to get it to pe speeds at 520/560, although it still idles around 34, i was hoping to get some more out of it, but maybe not until liquid cooling! I actually just lowered the voltage from 1.6 to 1.5. Thanks for your help.
 
Why will i need to mod when my fix was lowering the voltage? What exactly is the "Fixed agp/pci speed" in my bios? its currently set at 66, which is the lowest value, goes up to 96.

Ok, you lowered your AGP voltage right? That has nothing to do with the core. Do the search and see.
 
Yeah, i will, and im not even sure if im going to attempt it. How does graphite on the board decrease the resistance?
