Help with wireless network problems

I am having some problems with my new wireless network where my laptop (using Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG) continually drops of off my wireless network at random intervals. This occurs no matter where in my house I am even when I am no more than 2 feet away from my wireless router (D-Link DI-524).

My laptop will drop off the network no matter what the signal strength is (always shows excellent, yet still drops off) and give me the "limited or no connectivity" message.

I have tried changing my laptop communication channel to a difference one than my router (laptop is on CH4, router is on CH6) but that didnt fix my problem. When I check in my event viewer on my laptop I have loads of warnings for DHCP which is what I am leaning towards as the problem.

Can you guys give me some recommendations on what the problem could be? I am really frustrated by this problem. Is it possible I have misconfigured something? If so can someone explain exactly how to configure it properly or point me to some resources that would have tried the manual as well as intel and d-links websites)

Any and all help is appreciated.
 
1. Give yourself a static IP and see if the problem goes away. I've had certain Linksys routers that DHCP just craps out on randomly for only certain systems in the network, then works perfectly a month later.

2. Intel has driver issues with the 2200bg and the 2915abg cards, you may be one of the unfortunate. If option 1 doesn't work, best I can say is try different drivers.
 
When I run the command ipconfig /all to see my settings I get something unusual, at least to me



normally I have multiple dns servers however, now everything is through the router. Is this normal?

also, I have the newest drivers i believe.
