Help with Windows ICS

Ok. Finally gave into posting on a forum after 4 hours of me just getting more and more frustrated about this.

In the past, ive always been able to go into network properties on my computer, share my internet connection on either of my NIC's, so my brother could get on the internet. Easy.

So today, i decided to do the same thing with my xbox, because im tired of having to switch back n forth when i want to play xboxlive.

So, I have 2 NIC's n my computer. The only difference from before is one is now an onboard NIC (which works fine if im just running rj45 cable from the modem itself to the PC... and same as the other NIC)

So, i plug cable from my modem to my computer, then from my computer to the xbox. Then I read that I should be using a crossover cable instead of just a plain jane rj45 cable.

Went out and bought that. Tried it again... still not working. So, then i remember "Oh yeah, ICS needs to be activated, duh" so i go into network connections, go to the NIC when i wanna share the net connection from... go to advanced tab... and the option is not there for ICS... on either of the nics... ive gone to everything i can think of to try and fix this problem but still nothing....


CAN ANYONE HELP ME FOR THE LOVE OF GOD :(
