I just purchased a MCW55 GPU Water Block. How do I get this to fit my old GeForce4 Ti 4200? The diagonal mounting holes are a different distance than the GeForce 6800 and 7 it's made for. Do I need a thermal conductive bonding agent (recommend?)? or can I just superglue around the block (mostly kidding)?
 
You shouldn't use thermal adhesive or superglue to adhere the waterblock to the card. It is simply too heavy and will likely damage the card. What you ideally need to do is get a different waterblock made for your old card (i.e. the MCW50). But, I'd say you'd be better off keeping your MCW55 and spend your money on a new video card that it will fit on. Even a cheap 6200 will be an upgrade.

I did the reverse- I bought the older MCW50 for my 6600 and had to make it work.
 
i'm pretty sure you just need the adaptor that'll let it fit on the card you have. it might even just screw into place iirc
