Now that my media collection is really growing in size, a 1TB external drive is not idea anymore.
So far I picked out the following parts:
Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813182233
Memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145193
I plan on getting 6 2TB drives and RAID 10 them together. What would be a good RAID card for this? Any objections against RAID 10? I know the motherboard has built in RAID, but I always heard horror stories on software RAID setups.
Also any suggestions/recommendations on a server case with 6 hot swappable bays?
