whats a good sound system for my desktop? i was looking at a logitech 5.1 system (not sure on model) but it looked good, is there anything out there better than logitech? price really isnt an issue but nothing like a $1000 a speaker lol

also, im looking for a good set of headphones (over the head) as well as a microphone (seperate from the headset).

thanks

Unfortunately, there aren't many 5.1 speaker systems around anymore as people have moved to home theater setups with a receiver, 2.1 setups, and/or headsets.

That said, Logitech still sells the Z-5500 set which is one of the best 5.1 sets out there rivaling some of the best home theater systems, though the price of these has nearly doubled in the last couple of years. I would not go for the cheaper X-540 has they lack a lot of power and definition.

As for headsets, can't go wrong with the Audio Technica AD700.
