I'm currently using an evga 9800gtx. I've been tweaking it with rivatuner v2.09 and I was wondering if there was a way to tell rivatuner to speed up the fan if the video card goes above a certain temperature? How do I do this? Also, is there a way to tell rivatuner to resort to overclock setting only under graphics intensive activities? Thanks ahead of time.

Please read carefully this guide, especially the Advanced Automatic Fan Control section.
For my 8800GT the modified values are described in this post. For your 9800GTX it should be something similar, but not the same.
For automatic OC under graphics intensive activities you can use a threshold for hardware acceleration detection.
